Good question. But maybe a better question would be "Why do the other bartending schools cost so much more?"
Here at the Academy of Professional Bartending School, (Westchester NY), we do not believe that a quality education should cost you an arm and a leg. We are an organization comprised of an elite group of diverse talents and experience in the hospitality environment.This schools very foundation was built upon the philosophy of dedication and commitment to our students. This would include providing superior training at a price that all can afford. Give them all the tools and training necessary to obtain a bartending position upon graduation. And most importantly, make it easy to learn and have fun while doing so. We're more than just drink making. We train you to become a professional bartender! We can assure you that our school’s commitment to excellence in education, and to the personal and professional development of each and every student, is as strong and unwavering today as it was in the beginning when our staff began teaching their first bartending classes. Professional and quality education DOES NOT have to be expensive. It just has to be Good!
Other bartending schools charge more and offer so much less. They all boast that they are set up just like a real barroom atmosphere. But then again they offer you plastic glasses to practice with, sponge or construction paper garnishes, plastic ice and no sinks. Outdated black & white manuals, liquor labels that are xeroxed and then slapped on the bottles with shipping tape. You cannot learn to properly bartend under those conditions. Of course you are led to believe otherwise since you have no idea what to expect. Then factor in the cost of their location. You’re not paying for a better education. In fact, what you are really paying for is their expensive overhead to operate.
In our bartending school you are surrounded by nothing but barroom atmosphere. We offer you only state of the art equipment including: Krowne 6' stainless steel bar sinks w/ 18" drain boards, 10-button Wunder Bar Post Mix soda guns, 6 tube cold plates, Scotsman 500 lb ice maker, all the necassary tools of the trade and more! Our bartending courses have been designed to help you become an exceptional bartender. As drinking and social habits change, so does the hospitality industry. Here at the Academy of Professional Babrtending school, we print our own color manuals and update the course material on a regular basis. We don't use oversized fonts to fill our pages. Our bartending training manuals are jam packed with up to the date information and drinks to reflect the current state of the bartending world.
Another question we often hear is"Why don’t the other schools use real pictures of their school or list their costs like you do?"
Our best guess would be that they are embarrassed to show you what it’s really like inside their bartending school. And of course that would force them to "justify" their pricing. We don’t use pictures from the web like Photostock with models posing as bartenders to populate our pages. We don’t use pictures of bars to represent our schools environment. We don’t give you a false impression. All of the pictures on our websites are of our school, students and staff. We have nothing to hide WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get).
